Transitional Living Programs (TLP)
Transitional Living Programs (TLPs) are funded through the Wisconsin Department of Corrections/Community Corrections. Probation and Parole agents and supervisors sometimes place offenders in TLPs because they offer closer supervision than can be provided at the offender's own residence, or simply as a more efficient way for an offender to transition back into the community. Lutheran Social Services currently operates programs providing over 80 TLP beds throughout Wisconsin.
Eau Claire Area Transitional Living Program (TLP)
Clients receive primary inpatient treatment at Fahrman Center and then begin the TLP program. The client participates in daily treatment groups, and also goes out into the community to find a job. Once a job is secured and they have their first paycheck, the client is placed into a TLP apartment. All referrals must come from Probation and Parole.
