Lincoln County Custody Alternatives (LCCA)

In 2003, the Lincoln County Custody Alternatives Program (LCCA) was developed to aid in overcrowding issues at the Lincoln County Jail.  LSS has partnered with the local Department of Corrections Division of Community Correction to provide services as an alternative to revocation by providing home visits/day report for such individuals.

The LCCA program provides electronic monitoring for individuals sentenced to Huber and serving sentences in the Lincoln County Jail. It allows individuals who are serving their jail sentence to maintain their family relationships. The program also offers an alternative for individuals who are accepted into the program by providing a service that allows inmates to serve their transferred sentence in Lincoln County on this program.  Inmates are able to keep their Lincoln County jobs while serving their out-of-county sentences.

The Manitowoc Jail Program

The Manitowoc Jail Program has been offered to inmates for the last 15 years. The program was conceived to assist with overcrowding issues and has been offered to male and female county inmates that have been sentenced and are serving time in a county facility only.

The Manitowoc Jail Program provides classes in Anger Management and Life Skills.  In these classes, in which participation is voluntary, topics include coping with anger, stress management, addiction, cognitive interventions, accountability, parenting, and release planning.  The classes run for a duration of 3-4 months.

Upon complete, clients receive a certificate of recognition from the county and the Department of Corrections.
