Flood Update for Friday, June 27

Grace and God's peace to all of you, especially those in the midst of flood recovery. After visiting sites across the southern end of Wisconsin this past week, one thing I do know -- this recovery to a "new normal" is going to take some time. I am sharing both time-sensitive documents and a summary of what has happened. Information to share:

  1. A map of disaster recovery centers

  2. A summary of FEMA applications and a map of individual assistance requests

  3. Current listing of FoodShare assistance and time lines

  4. A link to the Department of Health and Family Services health safety and flood recovery guides

  5. A link to the site for making flood buckets

This next week the Wisconsin VOAD (Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster), which Lutheran Disaster Response is a part of, will begin organizing the long-term recovery committees for the area in meeting unmet needs. Again, check the "211" resources. It is a great source for information and getting needs connected to service.
